Monoma x Reader drabble. GN reader.

"Midnight brownies? Again?"

Monoma sat right next to you in front of the oven, lit up from baking the pan of brownies it contained. The kitchen smelled heavenly, rich with sugar, chocolate, and love.

"Of course, darling. These cravings are almost impossible to sate when everyone isn't as sweet as you." You smiled at him after saying that to him, the soft, orange-tinted glow of the oven almost obscuring the blush on his face.

"Every time I wonder how I managed have you with me, and every time..."

He trailed off after you pressed a kiss against his cheek, leaning against him as you watched how he got more flustered by the moment and how his pulse increased when you held his hand. Monoma was adorable, and seeing him like this was treasured.

"Well, no need to wonder, because I love you. Okay?"

He leaned into your touch, smiling sweetly to the point that you felt that your sweet tooth could be sated from that simple smile. That face, round with baby fat and all the sweets you fed him, how it crinkled up when he was genuinely happy while smiling.

"Okay."

He kissed you on the forehead, interlocking his fingers with yours just in time for the chime on the oven to ring out quietly.

You kept your hand interlocked with his, even as you stood up. There was a thermos on the stove and two cups, matching ones with clocks on them. They were from a farmer's market from your fifth date with him, and you always used them.

You poured some tea you had steeped earlier from the thermos and into the cups before reluctantly letting go of his hand to put on the oven mitts to take out the brownie pan.

"We can sip some of the tea while the brownies cool down."

You took the brownie pan out of the oven and set it on the stovetop, closing the oven before feeling Monoma's arms around you.

"But I want some nooowww..."

You rolled your eyes as you heard him whine, and how he nuzzled against your neck when you started to cut the brownies when they were still warm, along with the smile against your skin when he realized you were plating them up in contrast to your reluctant expression.

There absolutely was a reason why he had gained some weight.

Three brownies on his plate, and one on yours. They were still a bit gooey from being fresh out of the oven, and it was obvious he couldn't wait to dive into them.

"Okay, okay. Just wait a little, I want to do something."

You picked up your own brownie and blew on it to cool it down, taking a small bite. Then, you kissed Monoma quickly before the taste faded.

The kiss was sweeter than any Île Flottante, Tarte Tatin, Crème Brûlée, the brownie, or other sort of dessert you could imagine.

...you both went through half the pan before retreating upstairs to his dorm. Having so much sugar at night wasn't good, but with how you both were, you knew that wouldn't be a problem.
